All gussied up  
     Here she is after being stained red oak and the first coat of an amber tinted shellac -






The next step is to sand it with 220 grit sandpaper to smooth out the brush marks, and then alternate clear spray shellac coats and sanding with 320 grit sandpaper.  That's for tomorrow.

Man that's coming out beautiful... BTW is it a radio or a jukebox?

It was a 1939 GE console radio. It only had a 15" speaker. I'm gonna replace it with 2 12"s, 2 mids, and 2 tweeters. I've also gotta design and fabricate an art deco housing for the touchscreen that's going to go where the dial and display used to be.
